My client is a leading provider of b2b events and consultancy services who have an urgent need for an Event Operations Manager.
This is an important role that would suit an event operations manager or director to join a high growth, entrepreneurial team to assist in the growth of the Events portfolio while utilising a wide variety of skills and operational experience
Essential Skills include
● Minimum of 5 years operational experience, preferably within the events sector
● Be highly organised and ability to work to tight deadlines
● Strong negotiation and budgeting skills
● Confident talking to C-Level decision makers
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● Customer focused and a high level of customer / account management
● Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at the same time
● Strong research skills
● Excellent computer and CRM skills
Job Description
● Source suitable venues in Europe, USA
● Liaise with venues for event layout, F&B requirements, accommodation, deliveries, networking functions etc
● Liaise with external contractors and sponsors
● Ensure all strategy meetings, strategy dinners, and Innovation Spotlights are delivered efficiently and within budget
● Take ownership of the pre-event and onsite event management
● Ensure all event merchandising is sourced and delivered on time and within budget
● Coordinate the travel schedule for all staff and selected clients
● Write, implement and execute a communications strategy for speakers and sponsors
● Research agenda topics and develop agendas when required
● Engage and recruit speakers and event facilitators
● Coordinating speaker bios
● Support marketing with graphic design requirements as and when required
● Ability to work independently and be self-driven within a team structure
● Able to travel internationally frequently
