The Client

My client is a leading FX payments company which allows overseas payments by technology, cross-border expertise and uniting people.

About the role

As a Head of FX Desk, you will be In charge of OTC derivatives trading, FX trading in particular, including currencies allocation of the company's portfolios. Additionally, this will include hedging using forwards, swaps, and options as well as fixed-income derivatives. Besides that, preparing presentations about FX strategy on a weekly basis for the portfolio managers; managing the new front office trading system project and other projects across both in the UK and Europe.

The Head of Desk will live and breathe customer acquisition through great customer service. You will understand and anticipate the FX needs of your prospective customers and know-how and when to connect to capitalise on those requirements.

  • Demonstrate excellence in new customer acquisition and pipeline management
  • Be adept at achieving monthly, quarterly and annual revenue targets and customer-focused KPI’s
  • When addressing the needs of the customer you will use expert knowledge (including of MIFID and non-MIFID FX products) of cash flows and currency risk management to articulate appropriate strategies for them
  • Provide prospects and clients with valuable insights into the broader economic, business and FX landscape e.g. platform(s) for receiving and sending payments, hedging tools for managing currency volatility and recurring market commentary
  • Expand the depth and integration of customer relationships with new business opportunities by conducting professional and effective relationship management
  • Identify market opportunities for new customer acquisition and present those opportunities with data-driven research
  • Call, email and meet prospective clients promoting the company’s products and services
  • Represent the business at meetings with existing and potential clients at either their premises or our Corporate offices working in conjunction with other members of staff to present a professional image, in a face-face environment
  • Work alongside the Account Management team to ensure a smooth handover process of clients, as well as maintaining contact throughout the life of client to ensure the customer always feels their requirements are being met

What else would be helpful?
