My Client is an established business-to-business media company with experience in delivering market-leading publications, events, and content across a wide range of industry sectors.

To date, they are looking for a high-performing Sales Executive to work on multiple established products across the Energy Portfolio within the Americas team.

Delegate sales are an integral part of the events and allow the client to ensure the right people are "in the room". The portfolio of events includes global leading strategic events in the upstream industry.

The successful Sales Executive is expected to develop relationships with key individuals and senior stakeholders within the industry as you will work closely with marketing and production teams.

The Sales Executive must have:

  • Proven ability to foster collaborations across diverse groups of companies and geographically within the sector.
  • Make high volume outgoing calls to achieve revenue targets across new business and long-standing client base. In addition, demonstrate strong sales skills and a track record for achieving targets.

Key Responsibilities of the Sales Executive:

  • Selling over the phone to existing and potential new clients to meet realistic sales revenue targets.
  • Creating, developing and maintaining excellent relationships with clients through a consultative sales approach and by clearly demonstrating the value of attending events in the Oil & Gas Division.
  • Keeping abreast of market developments and identifying and researching new growth areas for sales.
  • Up-sell to existing delegates and referrals
  • Feedback contacts into the database (salesforce)
  • Up-sell additional delegate places to sponsors and exhibitors
  • Attract new business revenues where required
  • Ensuring that all relevant information is available and accurate for pipeline and project meetings.
  • At all times representing Oil & Gas Division in a professional manner.
  • Attending industry and VIP functions when required. Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours:
  • Oil and Gas/Energy/ Finance knowledge desirable
  • Use of working with Salesforce and Pardot desirable
  • First-class English skills (written and oral)
  • Desirable - Have sold delegate spaces previously/media sales
  • Worked in high volume media/event sales
  • Evidence of achieving/over achieving targets
  • A good understanding of the full sales cycle process
  • Ability to generate business leads through primary and secondary research.
  • Ability to prioritise leads and maximise revenue generation
  • Build client relationships in the short and long term
  • Commercially minded with an ability to spot an opportunity
  • Accurately recording sales on the Salesforce system
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce system

Ideal background & Experience

  • A maximum of three years b2b commercial experience
  • Proven track record of sales
